DARK MOUNTAIN PROJECT 28

My sand relief CONVERGENCE is included in Dark Mountain Issue 28/Autumn 2025: ‘Uncivilised Art’, an anthology published by The Dark Mountain Project.

CONVERGENCE

These ripples on the sand, called bedforms, are created by wind and wave action and reveal themselves at low tide. Rather than alter them, I framed them to draw attention during an action on a vast sandflat on May 3, 2025. Naturally, the high tide wiped the slate clean by the next day.

This convergence of natural forces with the artist’s hand created a fleeting expression of intertidal dynamism.
