For this ongoing photographic series, I borrow a misnomer from Western academia used to describe Egyptian and Tibetan texts that serve as guides for traversing the intermediate period after death.
These photographs imagine the intertidal zone and its surroundings as a liminal space uniting life and afterlife, death and rebirth, with each playing out literally in our midst.
